Test one stream at a time to determine whether a playback problem affects one source or the entire layout.

Platform notes

Apple

Android
Follow these steps with touch controls on a phone or tablet, or use the directional pad and select button on Google TV.
1

Identify the scope

  1. 1Try the affected stream by itself. If it still fails, the problem is probably not the multiview arrangement.
  2. 2Try a different channel from the same source, then a stream from another source.
  3. 3Confirm the original source can play the same content in its own app.
2

Reduce resource pressure

  1. 1Temporarily use fewer simultaneous streams.
  2. 2Check the tuner count on HDHomeRun and Tablo devices and any simultaneous-connection limit from an IPTV provider.
  3. 3Use a wired connection where practical, or move the player and source to a stronger Wi-Fi connection.
  4. 4Close other high-bandwidth activity on the same network and device.
3

Adjust playback settings

  1. 1In Settings, choose automatic retry for intermittent failures.
  2. 2Use Streaming Settings to try hardware decoding, deinterlacing, or a larger network cache.
  3. 3For RTSP feeds, prefer TCP for reliability; try UDP only when the camera and network support it.
  4. 4If video works but audio does not, select the stream as the active audio source and make sure it is not muted.
Good to know: Change one advanced setting at a time. Reset Streaming Settings to defaults if the result becomes worse.
