Add a compatible RTSP, RTSPS, HLS, or HTTP video URL and configure optional camera controls.

Apple
Follow these steps with touch controls on iPhone or iPad, or use focus and select controls with the Apple TV remote.
Android
Follow these steps with touch controls on a phone or tablet, or use the directional pad and select button on Google TV.

Add the feed

  1. 1Open Settings, Manage Sources, then Add Camera or Live Feed.
  2. 2Enter a name and the full stream URL.
  3. 3Add the username and password if the feed requires authentication.
  4. 4Validate the address, then save the feed.

Tune RTSP playback

Automatic transport uses TCP for reliability. Choose UDP only when lower latency is more important and your network supports it.

Enable camera controls and guide previews

  1. 1Enter the ONVIF port to detect supported pan, tilt, or zoom controls.
  2. 2Enable Invert Pan Direction if left and right movement are reversed.
  3. 3Turn on Show in Guide and choose a live or snapshot preview.
Good to know: Snapshot previews use less processing and network bandwidth than live previews.
